Everything you need to set your file up so the sticker prints exactly as you designed it. We check every file by hand before printing and send you a proof, so nothing goes to press on a guess — but a well-prepared file gets there faster and looks better.

File formats we accept

Vector is best: SVG, AI, PDF or EPS. Vector scales to any size with no loss, so the same file works at 50mm and 500mm.

Raster is fine too: PNG, JPG or TIFF at 300dpi or higher at final print size. That last part matters — a 300dpi file at 20mm is not a 300dpi file at 100mm.

Transparency: a PNG with a genuine alpha channel gives us the cleanest cut line. A white box around your logo is not transparency, and we will cut around the box.

Colour

We print CMYK. RGB files are accepted and converted at our end, but be aware that very bright RGB greens and blues have no exact CMYK equivalent and will shift slightly. If a brand colour has to be exact, tell us and send the reference.

Rich black (C40 M30 Y30 K100) looks superb across large solid areas. For small text, use 100% K only — rich black on fine type risks misregistration and a fuzzy edge.

Fonts and linked files

Outline or embed every font in your file. If we do not have the typeface, an un-outlined font gets substituted and your design changes without either of us noticing until the proof.

Illustrator files with linked rather than embedded images will print with a grey placeholder box. Use File → Package, or embed the images before saving.

Transparency and effects

Live transparency effects — drop shadows, glows, blend modes — can shift when exported. Flatten or rasterise transparent layers before sending, so what you see is what we print.

White ink on clear and holographic

Clear and holographic materials are not opaque, so light-coloured artwork disappears into whatever is behind it. We lay down a white ink base layer beneath those areas. If you want control over exactly where that white sits, include it as its own layer; otherwise we will generate it and show you on the proof.

Cut lines

You do not need to supply a cut line — we draw one around your artwork by default. If you would rather control it, put your path on a separate unlocked layer and name it clearly, and keep it a single closed path rather than overlapping segments.

Leave a little breathing room between your artwork and the cut edge. Cutting has a small tolerance, and detail that runs right to the edge is the first thing to suffer.

What happens next

Upload your file with your order and a real person checks it at print size. You get a digital proof to approve, and nothing is printed until you have said yes. If something in your file will not work, we tell you before you have paid for a run of it.
